FACILITY
The multi-purpose Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium opened in 1990 and was named in honor of the late Sir Kendal G.L. Isaacs, a former Governor General of The Bahamas. It is located at the Queen Elizabeth Sports Center, adjacent to the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium, and is the primary venue for basketball games in New Providence.
The Kendal G.L. Isaacs National Gym is a 2,194 seat facility, which includes bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms. The gym facilitates local and international teams and events: The Bahamas Basketball Federation's Summer of Thunder, College Basketball Battle of Atlantis practice sessions, the Circus and more. Also hosted are: the Philippines Association, Judo, Karate and Boxing (amateur and professional) as well as Battle of the Bands for all Islands through the Ministry of Education.
